RAATO PEDALS

RAATO Guitar & Bass Pedals

My quest on a sea of tone has led me to another dimension. About 4 years ago I started making first studio preamps & compressors from kits and it was so much fun that I needed to find something more to solder.

So two years ago I found myself diving into the wonderful world of effect pedals. I laid down bare bones Fuzz Face circuit on a protoboard and tried to work it so that it would fill my own needs. After few weeks of component rolling I had something that I was happy with.

Built few protos and sent them out to the wild to be tested and feedback was excellent - Little addition was made after the feedback and this is the final product

Let me introduce following pedals

FUZZROCITY

Raato Custom Guitar Fuzzrocity Versatile Fuzz Face style Pedal

Versatile FF-Style Fuzz Pedal

This is my take on traditional Fuzz Face circuit with several tweaks. To keep things consistent I chose to design pedal with NPN Silicon transistors.

Fuzzrocity delivers wide variety of tonal flavors from Crushing Fuzz to Transparent Overdrive. Due to added Hi-Pass Filter & Pre-Gain controls you can keep things nice and tight when required. Works equally well with Single coil, P90 or Humbucker equipped guitars.

Controls:

BIAS - Set operating voltage. From Gated to Furry Fuzz tones

HPF - Hi-Pass Filter a.k.a. Bass Cut.

Counterclock-wise you have full signal entering to the fuzz circuit like in standard Fuzz Face pedal. Hi-Pass Filter is placed before fuzz circuit to keep things nice and tight when required so.

LEVEL - Controls the output volume

FUR - Controls input signal hitting the fuzz circuit. Offers tones from overdrive to Fur(r)y Fuzz.

LPF - 3-position mini-toggle lets you choose from different Hi-Cut frequencies

Power: 9V DC Center negative

Pedal can be powered from standard pedal power supplies

FUZZROCITY Amalgam

..with Blend & Master Volume - For Bass & Guitar

FUZZROCITY circuit with additional controls aimed primarily for BASS Guitar, but gives loads of different tonal flavors for electric guitars too.

To keep things consistent pedal uses NPN Silicon transistors.

Fuzzrocity Amalgam delivers wide variety of tonal flavors from Crushing Fuzz to Transparent Overdrive. Due to added Hi-Pass Filter & Pre-Gain controls you can keep things nice and tight when required. And as pedal is equipped with BLEND control you can make sure that low-end will stay intact.

With extreme settings you can get this beast to give you some synth style tones too!

Other than buffered signal chain and added Blend control this is similar to standard Fuzzrocity Guitar version with some small tweaks to values.

FUR - Controls input signal hitting the fuzz circuit. Offers tones from overdrive to Fur(r)y Fuzz.

FUZZ - Controls the output volume of Fuzz Circuit

BLEND - Blends between Fuzz & Clean Tone

LEVEL - Master Volume

When FUZZ pot is fully counter-clockwise & BLEND is at 12 o´clock

Fuzz & Clean tones are in unity

Enclosure is etched and will be slightly different from the sides and back than in pictures.

Power: 9V DC Center negative

Pedal can be powered from standard pedal power supplies

STARLORD (Treble) Booster

Starlord-treble-booster-top.jpg

Reinvented Tradition - (Treble) Booster of today

Inspired by Dallas Rangemaster Treble Booster circuit from the 60s, but with option to adjust frequency range and the intensity of the boost. You can use it as a full frequency or a Treble booster.

When you want to retain the character of your amplifier and just push it more - This is the pedal for you!

Shines especially well in-front of a High-Gain amp. Personally I prefer treble boosters over tube screamer/overdives in this context.

With STARLORD You can control and retain right amount of low end for every guitar without being too muddy or too brittle. And still pushing your amp to glorious tone heaven!

Controls:

FORCE - Level control

SCHWARTZ - Controls the intensity of the boost

FUR - Controls the frequency range

Counter clockwise - full frequency boost

Fully Clockwise - Traditional Rangemaster style Treble boost

Power: 9V DC Center negative

Pedal can be powered from standard pedal power supplies
